You might have noticed quite a few “details coming soon” references in my posts lately when it comes to the kick-knacks in the pics. That’s because for the past few weekends I’ve been buying a thing here, a thing there etc. It is not usually enough for a post. So I thought why not compile them all into one showcasing all my thrifty finds.
The first and my most favorite one is this set of 3 jewel toned bud vases that I found at the It’s Bazaar on 21st St while vintage shopping in Purcelville. I wanted only the middle one and looked for the price underneath. When I saw the $5 tag I was like, “Ya sure why not?”. When I brought it to the counter my friend Becky (she owns the store) said, “It is $5 for all 3!” Ain’t that a steal?
You might also have spotted them in my earlier flower power post.
You know, I toyed with the idea of being a vendor at the Old Lucketts Store Spring Market, right? I had this lofty plan of salvaging stuff and transforming them into vintage decor for my booth. One such plan was to transform this pretty blue vase that I found at our local Goodwill for $2 into a ………..;) Keep guessing!!!
As luck would have it when the vendor plans got shelved I realized that the color was perfect for my guest bedroom. So there it resides hosting a fake IKEA plant.
On the same lines, here is another container from our local Salvation Army ($2.99) that got a new lease of life, a pretty tow tone ceramic soup crock/ bowl, which is now a planter for my Fittonia (new plant by the way). The details about the photo transfer canvas print can be found here.
From the Old Lucketts Store, I got this cute lil vintage cowbell for $4.
Then there are these 3 yellow bud vases again from the same Goodwill that I found the blue vase from, for $0.96 each.
I also bought 2 strawberry pots, one from Goodwill and other from The Old Lucketts Store. What I’m going to do with those is a surprise. 😉
Do you go thrift store shopping? Do you have a soft corner for vases?
