Last year by the time I got around to posting about Thanksgiving it was the week before the actual holiday. So this time around I’m going full steam starting today, with simple Thanksgiving table decorating inspirations.
Disclaimer: Being a family of passionate cooks (even our 10 yr old is into it) we take our food seriously around here and totally believe that if you have painstakingly poured hours of planning and prep to come up with a great spread then that should hog all the limelight. So all you’ll see in this one is non fancy stuff.
Nothing says autumn like a bunch of sunflowers. A row of them arranged in low vases is easy on the eye and downright elegant.
Same goes for this orange candle in a hurricane nestled in a bowl of pine cones and small pumpkins.
Another fail proof fall centerpiece, a vase in vase arrangement using flowers in fall shades. The outside vase is layered with cranberries and orange slices.
Actually you could even get away with just some strategically placed mums and a burlap runner. 🙂 In the below picture they’ve used billy balls not mums but you could mimic the look with similar looking mums, you know the tightly packed ones not the daisy like ones.
If you would like to go even more rustic then layer a hurricane with whole nuts (with the shell on) and dried moss and add pheasant feathers (can get them at Micheals) to the center.
Which look would you go with? I’m always on the look out for simple and unobstructive centerpieces. So if you have one please do share.

Rita,
Thanks for letting me know. I have searched all over Pinterest to find the source of the image in vain. Thank you! I’ve updated it over here and on my Pin. Love the arrangement.
