2015, a year of many personal triumphs….My word of the year for 2015 was ‘Organize’ while that of 2014 was ‘Overcome’. As I’m wrapping 2015 I can proudly say that I’ve finally done justice to my 2014 word of the year and almost done good on my 2015. I still have some more polishing to do to claim that my life is as organized as I want it to be. The year saw me do something that I’ve never done before or even dreamed of doing, running a 200 mile race with 12 other bloggers! I had never run before (if you don’t count Elem. school) and to commit to and complete such a feet is beyond BIG for me. And as a result I’ve taken up running for good. I have to thank my blogger friends especially Cassie from Primitive and Proper for introducing me to the joy of running.
I’m dealing with another monster will power endurance test right now as we speak (hints about it in this post). Will spill the beans on that as soon as I finish it. One dull spot in the year though was when I lost my dearest grandma in the Summer. You know, her birthday is on Christmas day……Another reason I’ve felt like not doing much Christmas decorating this year.
Amid all these life events I somehow had the impression that the blogging side of things was slow but was I in for a surprise or what?
Here I was thinking this was a slow year! Talking about the blog, I think I’ve finally found a happy place in terms of life-work-blog balance. For the first time in 4 years I now have a very clear idea of where and how the blog fits into my life. Won’t bore you with all that talk now, will reserve that for my blog birthday insights post in the new year.
Apart from the Room makeover related projects above, can you believe that we had so many seasonal decorating projects?
2015 also marked the first time I shared my favorite family recipes with y’all.
Wow! Looking at this list I’m seriously proud of myself! All this with a family and a full time job with a hellish commute (anyone want to trade my 2 hrs each way trip?)!!!
And through this all you’ve stuck by me, been there for me……….my dear readers y’all are what keeps me going. Thank you!
As I take a 2 week break to spend time with my family and plan the year ahead……I wish you all the heartiest of holidays!
